Purchase and installation of Lucky Winny  arch and windscreen.

Until now there has been a long search for a proper arch fitting to the cockpit.
I had almost given up all hope of finding one, even if we had to modify an existing.

Suddenly, last autumn we found ourselves sitting in the cockpit of a Malö yacht . We visited "öppet varv", the yearly exhibition on the Orust yards, discussing if a Malö arch would fit Lucky Winny.

Late last year we received a mail with measurements and pictures of the available archés, and yes, the largest seemed to fit with minor "tweaking".
We purchased the largest arch on the picture, and received cabels, main track and profile for sprayhood for free. What a bargain!

Largest arch will fit!

The picture show the first attempt to fit the arch. We were really surprised to find that it was perfect in size and angle. It only had to be stretched a little to each side. The picture show Ina and Niklas during the approval process. It was approved!

Here is a totally different season (ice has gone ans summer is here) The arch is in the process of being installed permanently. Two M16 bolts on each side and serious large washers will secure i

Mega washers!

The arch is now permanently fitted to Lucky Winny

During a late night in March the windscreen template was done ----

-----and VOILA!, here is the nearly finished windscreen in the Denmark shop

When I am finished with the sprayhood and cockpit cover I will show a comparison between my first image and the final  result
